Wonderfully Planned

We do not know the wisdom of God and we will never be able to know. Once the Lord starts His work, it will be done on the day of glorification. We are only but His tool of righteousness, having the heartfelt urgency to proclaim who God is and the work He had accomplished at the cross. Paul had proclaim it to the men of Athens who God is in Acts 17 and making clear that a day will come when judgment will happen as God had given proof to everyone. Anwyay, praise the Lord for 2 wonderfully planned testimonies.

Over the past one week, I had the chance to invite 2 friends on 2 different nights over for Kitchen's Fellowship. On Tuesday night, a few friends came over and together, i was reading the Word of God before meals. It was a great time. After that, i started chatting with one of them and got the opportunity to share the gospel with her. And i read from Acts 17. On Thursday night, i started a Kitchen's Fellowhsip theme song, we sang over meals and it was wonderful. The song was great although it is a bit awkward as not many knew the lyrics and i only had a piece with chinese words, another with the english translation and another with the 'han ying ping yin'. Haha. I actually invited 5 over but only 1 came, praise the Lord again. After that, the one, as she was a bit bored, looked at a bible on the floor and started reading it aloud. Haha. She started from the book of Genesis. All of us share with her as she stopped at certain point and started asking questions. I also shared Acts 17 with her. At the end, she brought the bible back home. Well, each and everyone of us was speechless. What a blessing through Kitchen's Fellowship where we could proclaim God's name to the hearts and souls that needed the saving power of the gospel.

Everything was wonderfully planned.

Green Apple Soup...Curious???

Can you spot the green apple?

This is the green apple soup. My housemate, Paul, made this soup out of curiousity..mmhmmm..well,it is actually because the fruit was so sour that he regretted buying it so it was an attempt to destroy all the fruits as soon as possible..haha..It was a great night especially with the word of God.

The old covenant sets a distance between us and God. When God met with His chosen one, Moses, He told him to take off his sandals for he stands on holy ground. God even set boundaries for the people of God; He prohibits them from setting foot on Mount Sinai. Even in regards to the tabernacle of God, only the priest could enter the Holy of Holies once a year. This shows us that God is serious about the loathsome sins that is setting us apart from Him. However, we rejoice knowing that the new convenant has bring us the nearness of God. We are no longer considered as lepers. (Lepers are the outcast of the society because of their skin disease. It is true to us that sins cover us entirely like a deadly disease that rots our souls). Jesus came and with Him, the covenant of grace. Those who receives His free gift of salvation are no longer considered lepers but children of God. Praise the Lord for the works He has done. We are now able to come near to God through the justification of the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I Made BLENDED OREO

Yeah..at last i got a blender from Tesco today and made blended oreo. Well, it is not only for this drink but with this amazing blender, I am going to venture into Indian cooking. May the Kitchen's Fellowship expand to a different horizon and God's name be glorified.

Mooncake Celebration with Bak Kut Teh

Wow....That was one of the expression from one of my friend when I introduced the Steamboat Bak Kut Teh in occassion with the Mooncake Celebration. We had a great time together and i am really glad many souls had been blessed by the wonderful meal. After the meal, we had a movie session and guess what, it was "Facing The Giants". It's really awesome and while watching it, tears flowed down my eyes especially when there was a part when everyone was just confessing their sins and coming back to God, their Creator. It was so touching maybe because it was something that I would like to desire; God's name be glorified. Thank God for the wonderful time of blessings.

Yummy Salad

One night, I was thinking of making a really simple salad. Just a few green leaves and cherry tomatoes but it turns out to be something else in the end. Guess what? It is totally awesome. So, i really wanted to share this with you. First, you will have to get the ingredients. A box of cherry tomatoes, 3 washed potatoes, 2 large eggs, butterhead green leaves, 1 onion, 1 tablespoon of butter and 3 tablespoon of mayonnaise.

So, start by boiling the eggs until it is a hard-boiled egg. How do you know if it is a hard-boiled egg? When there isn't any bubbles coming out of the egg. While waiting for that, peel off the potatoes and then cut it into cubes, the size you want it to be. Bring it to boil for at least 10 minutes or until it is soft. Remember to add some salt into the water. While waiting for that too, clean the green leaves and place it into a salad bowl. Then cut the cherry tomatoes into halves and place it into the bowl too. Add in some chopped onions and then mix it together. Now, the potatoes should be just nice. Drain the water away and then mix it with butter. Next, mash the eggs in another bowl. Add the potatoes and the mashed eggs into the salad bowl and then mix it all together with the mayonnaise too.

And there you have it, the "rojak" salad. Well, as long as it tastes good, whatever lahh...

Simplicity

Last night we had a simple gathering, just the 3 of us having a simple meal. Before meal, I had the urge to share from the devotional book that I commonly use at Kitchen's Fellowship. If there would be friends coming, we will start our meal after a simple prayer but if there would be brothers and sisters in Christ, we would start with a simple devotion. However, last night was special. The urge to share was there. Maybe it's time for the harvest. Only God in all His wisdom and knowledge knows.

Many at times, we would have to see signs and wonders to believe in God. One would say, "If a rush of emotion suddenly swept through me for no reason whatsoever, I would believe or that would strengthen my faith" but what if God never does that during your time on earth. Another would say, "If only I had a dream about the Messiah, then I would believe" but what if God never will fulfill your desire. Who are we to dictate what God should and should not do. Isn't the gospel a proof enough for us to believe in Him? Isn't His promise, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" an assurance to our faith. Faith is believing in something that we cannot see. If we are able to see what we hoped for, will there be any hope at all? Therefore, may the Lord opens our eyes to see the truth of the gospel, His Word, the Bible as the source of strength to our faith.
