Today, my friend introduce to me his family's secret popiah recipe...oooohhh...aaahhhh...waaahhh..yeah, it is da' secret recipe..haha..passed down through many generations...anyway, one thing that made me curious is that you need to blanch all the ingredients before frying it to extract out moisture. I wonder if it is true or not. I never heard of such a technique as all this while, I fry all the ingredients immediately. Anyway, it tasted good. Everyone was enjoying it a lot..thanks to the wonderful brother in Christ.
P.S - the popiah contains celery, Chinese turnip, cabbage, carrots and pork....yummy..
